In spring 2024 we bought a cheap Vitamin K2 MK-7 produced by Goodscend Pharm. Co, Ltd and Seebio Biotech Co, Ltd. This material is also available with various Chinese and non Chinese agents. We bought different types of products, both powders and oils with several carries, 4 batches in total. This report is an invaluable source of knowledge for any QC and QA executive, as well as for experienced managers of vitamin product brands.
Goodscend Vitamin K2 is at least 9x less bioactive MK-7, but it is not even close to being 9x cheaper. Our report shows how Goodscend is selling a pseudo healthy products which in fact have only 10-12% of claimed trans-MK7. Trans-MK7 is the bioactive form of vitamin K2.
This is undeniably the most expensive vitamin K2 in the world.
Cheap cis Vitamin K2 uses very dirty synthesis. This material has over 89% unknown impurities. And this is only a relatively narrow scan using UPLC purity method. Who knows what we could findusing other analytical techniques? Toxic solvents? Heavy metals from reaction catalyst used? Other chemicals remaining from the synthesis?

Every brand owner must label their ingredients clearly without misleading the consumer. Any significant amounts of cis isomer and other impurities must be revealed. You can sue your competitors for unfair competition using such clear HPLC evidence regardless if the product is mixed with MCT oil, olive oil or powder carriers. GOODSCEND is risk for health of your consumers. When you buy a vitamin product, you hope it will make you a bit healthier. You never suspect it can harm you. With many unknown impurities Goodscend buyers can’t be safe.

According to EU Regulation 2017/2470 for Novel Foods, the limit of impurities for synthetic K2 is 6% for cis-MK7 and 2% for total other impurities respectively. Goodscend and Seebio products are far from fulfilling these requirements.

When you run Assay method from USP Monograph, many peaks would overlap, giving higher (better than real) results, but only when you use Isomeric Purity method from USP Monograph, the truth of GOODSCEND product is plain to see.
